Chir-chir is a restaurant originating from Seoul, South Korea which is known for the Korean chicken dishes. In Indonesia, they have several outlets such as in PIK, Kelapa Gading, Serpong, Bali & Makasar.
I've visited their Serpong outlet which is located at Downtown Summarecon Mal Serpong few weeks ago.
Near the front door, there was a huge chicken figure welcoming us into Chir-chir.
The place was quite spacious & nicely decorated with Korean theme.
In case you're not willing to dirty your hands while eating the chicken, they provides some plastic gloves. They also provides a small bucket to put the chicken bones in.
Corn Tea
Corn Tea (Refill) - IDR 15 K ++ |
Simply refreshing drinks.
Garlicky Chicken
Garlicky Chicken - IDR 159 K ++ |
My winning dish at Chir-chir! This garlicky chicken was well-marinated & satisfying. It wasn't overpowered, but you could definitely taste the garlic flavor on it.
Although it was crispy on the outside, the chicken meat was still juicy & soft. And the portion was big enough for 2 person.
Spicy BBQ Roasted Chicken
Spicy BBQ Roasted Chicken - IDR 169 K ++ |
While the garlicky one was a coated deep fried chicken, this was a roasted version with spicy barbecue sauce. The chicken was served with tteok (rice cake), creamy potato, boiled egg and dabu-dabu condiment.
For me, this one didn't taste as good as the garlicky one. But of course it wasn't a disappointing dish.
Overall, I've had a satisfying chicken dinner here. And I'll definitely come back. But next time, I prefer eating with my bare hands instead of using the gloves because the plastic gloves kinda made my hands sweaty & trust me it's not a comfortable experience :)
